Revenue reached €13.757 billion, up 9.5% from the third quarter of 2025. Corporate and investment banking contributed to the increase, with revenue growth of 16.6%.

Cost of risk was €964 million, or 39 basis points of outstanding loans. Operating expenses rose more slowly than revenue and the cost-to-income ratio improved to 58.3%, according to the published accounts.

In a separate release, BNP Paribas said the buyback, authorised by the European Central Bank, would begin on 2 November. Purchased shares will be cancelled. The announcement does not mean the purchases have already taken place.
