ServiceNow and OpenAI announced an expanded partnership on 28 October 2026 and a ServiceNow plugin in OpenAI's marketplace. It is intended to let users review incidents or update records from ChatGPT, depending on capabilities enabled by the customer.

Customers connect their own ServiceNow instance and select available actions. The partners say existing business rules and permissions continue to apply through Action Fabric.

The schedule separates this plugin from future capabilities: cybersecurity early access is planned for January 2027 and general availability in the second quarter; voice is expected in the first quarter and Codex in AI Workflow Factory in 2027. Those are announced targets rather than completed deployments.
