Both goals came after the break: Parfait Guiagon opened the scoring in the 52nd minute before Faris Al Ghamdi added the second in the 77th. The teams had been level at 0-0 at half-time.

It was Al Taawoun’s second win in the group stage. Al Faisaly remain on three points, four behind their opponents. The result strengthens the Saudi side’s position in the qualification race but does not, by itself, secure a place in the next round.
