Jerada: Beni Mathar land-rights holders call for an inquiry

Hibapress and Al3omk report that Beni Mathar collective-land rights holders protested in Jerada province on 28 October 2026, seeking an inquiry into land management and publication of beneficiaries of a 3,000-hectare project.

Hibapress describes a march towards the provincial headquarters after a planned gathering outside the Ain Bni Mathar district office was cancelled. Al3omk describes a gathering near that office. These accounts alone do not establish the protest’s route.

Both reports relay demands for dialogue and transparency. Allegations of mismanagement remain attributed to protesters. Neither article documents an official response or the opening of a judicial investigation.
