Figuig: agriculture directorate estimates date harvest at 15,000 tonnes

The Oriental regional agriculture directorate estimates annual date production in Figuig’s oases at about 15,000 tonnes across 2,700 hectares, according to Medi1News, citing MAP, and Le360 on 29 October 2026.

The figures were presented for Erfoud’s international date fair, whose official website schedules its fifteenth edition from 28 October to 1 November. Le360 says it received the directorate’s statement, so the two publications are not independent measurements of the harvest.

Medi1News also reports a solidarity agriculture project planned for 2027, with 17.54 million dirhams for 1,845 beneficiaries. This remains an announced project; the sources do not establish a final harvest total.
