Buhari Abba spoke on behalf of executive director Yunusa Zakari Ya’u, according to The Sun and Leadership. The organisation has support from the Association for Progressive Communications.

dComms is presented as a decentralised service connected to the Fediverse. DANCIT, short for Dandalin CITAD, is a community messaging application hosted on the organisation's infrastructure.

The stated privacy protections remain the promoters' commitments. They acknowledge that decentralisation does not eliminate security risks and requires responsible administration.
