The 12:30 p.m. bulletin describes an ash plume rising 3,000 metres above the crater and drifting west-southwest. Ashfall is expected in Daraga, Camalig, Guinobatan and neighbouring municipalities.

Level 3 indicates an increased tendency towards a hazardous eruption. The institute warns of lava flows, falling rocks and pyroclastic density currents, hot mixtures of gas and volcanic material.

It also recommends that aircraft avoid the summit and urges vigilance along waterways exposed to lahars. The evacuation recommendation is distinct from a count of evacuations actually carried out.
