The document provides for exploring joint research and expanding knowledge exchange. It was signed by the centre's director general Salem Humaid AlMarri and university chancellor Esameldin Agamy.

Specialised training, lectures and practical student workshops are also envisaged. The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation; it does not establish a scientific result or a completed space programme.
