Louvre signs strike settlement with unions
The Louvre management and the CGT-CFDT-SUD union alliance signed a strike settlement on 29 October 2026, following a dispute that began in December 2025.
The agreement provides for staffing reinforcements, pay measures and building works. The unions also describe limits on visitor numbers during overcrowding or construction.
AFP reports eight days of disruption since December, including four full closures. A committee will monitor the commitments. Signing does not mean recruitment and works have already been completed; the consulted sources give different timetables for the approximately 100 posts envisaged.
