Ministry launches national breastfeeding promotion campaign
Morocco’s Health Ministry has announced the 16th national breastfeeding promotion campaign, organised with the National Initiative for Human Development from 20 October to 20 November 2026. Its central message concerns exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months.
The announced programme includes awareness activities for mothers and communities, involving health professionals and local outreach workers. It also includes strengthening the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.
The ministry’s statement is dated 21 October, after the announced start. It describes activities and objectives; it does not yet provide participation figures or evidence of changes in practice.
