Safran announced plans on 29 October 2026 for Safran.AI’s first international subsidiary in Singapore, following a memorandum with the local Economic Development Board.

The centre will initially focus on automating digital inspection for aircraft maintenance. It also plans local university collaboration and services for Safran.AI customers across Southeast Asia.

Recruitment of data specialists and AI engineers is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with a target of about fifty employees over five years. Those staffing levels and expected industrial gains remain goals, rather than achieved results.
