Yemen: UN reports more than 290,000 displaced since early August

More than 290,000 people have been displaced in Yemen since the beginning of August, the UN announced on 30 October 2026. It highlighted maternal healthcare needs among those families.

UNFPA estimates that nearly 6,100 recently displaced women are pregnant, including about 600 expected to give birth within the following two weeks. The agency says it has deployed mobile teams and midwives and delivered maternal health supplies.

This figure covers several months of displacement, rather than the latest 24 hours alone. The reported needs do not mean all families already have access to care.
