Ghana announces Russian cooperation on a 2,000 MW nuclear plant
Russia has agreed to work with Ghana on developing a 2,000 MW nuclear plant, Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said on 31 October.
The minister presents the project as support for energy security and industrialisation following Russia–Africa summit talks.
The stated capacity is a project target. The material reviewed specifies neither financing nor a construction timetable, so the announcement does not establish that building work has begun.
