Bali: Semarajaya Museum honours manuscripts for Saraswati
Semarajaya Museum in Klungkung held a Saraswati ceremony around its ancient manuscripts on 31 October 2026, detikBali reports.
The museum’s head describes a spiritual tribute to a collection of about 200 lontar manuscripts. He distinguishes the ceremony from intensive physical cleaning, performed at spaced intervals to protect the inscriptions.
Saraswati honours knowledge in Balinese Hinduism. Bawaslu Bali documents other prayers in Bangli on the same day. These accounts describe local practices without establishing island-wide attendance figures.
