Dubai announces opening of Quran centre in Al Quoz First

Dubai's Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department announced on 31 October 2026 the opening of the Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum centre in Al Quoz First. Its statement describes Quran education services for women and girls.

The announced programmes combine in-person and remote learning, with morning, evening and weekend options. They cover memorisation, recitation correction, tajwid and explanations of verses.

The department is also preparing a dedicated girls' class for November: this remains a planned step, separate from the centre's opening. The statement, available in Arabic and English, invites women to enrol but provides no attendance figures. Al-Khaleej reports the programme arrangements; that coverage is not an independent assessment of educational outcomes.
