Where things stand

As of 1 November 2026, Aramco and PIF announce the transaction’s closing: 49% for Aramco and 51% for PIF. The 3 GW capacity targeted for 2030 remains a goal.

Aramco announces 49% HUMAIN stake with $2.6 billion cash contribution

Aramco and Saudi sovereign wealth fund PIF announced on 1 November 2026 that Aramco’s investment in HUMAIN had closed. A wholly owned Aramco subsidiary takes 49% of the AI company, while PIF retains 51%.

Their statement puts the 2026 cash contribution at approximately 9.9 billion riyals, or $2.6 billion, alongside AI, computing and digital assets. The cash figure therefore does not describe the full contribution on its own.

The closing implements a plan outlined in October 2025. The partners say it supports deployment of 3 gigawatts of AI data centre capacity by 2030. That is planned capacity, rather than data centres already in operation.
