Refrigeration: European agencies urge action to reduce system exposure
The European Commission, ENISA, Europol EC3 and European incident response networks issued a call on 4 November 2026 for immediate action to reduce exposure in refrigeration systems affected by cyber incidents.
The statement follows a new wave of incidents on 1–2 November, after initial reports dating from 11 October. National authorities are investigating, while European networks exchange information to coordinate the response.
In France's health sector, EFS says an incident at a refrigeration supplier affected three sites, with no blood products lost or health consequences identified. This statement is not independent verification of all effects. The consulted sources do not establish that all European incidents form a single operation.
