Économie du Cameroun reports Fuh Galitus Gentry’s statement during his visit. The minister cites five deaths, while RFI’s report published that day still mentions four deaths and sixteen serious injuries.

The discrepancy prevents a single definitive toll being presented. The 3 November development concerns the shutdown and investigation rather than another explosion.

Unstable electricity is mentioned as a preliminary possibility. The company describes an external origin without an established cause; responsibility remains to be determined.
