Medical transport: Interior Ministry says it has submitted a bill to the SGG

The proposal would allow patients or their families to choose the receiving hospital, subject to the regulating physician’s decision in emergencies. It also envisages regulated billing for medical transport and possible reimbursement by health coverage bodies.

According to the report, it aims to harmonize a municipal service facing shortages of qualified staff. The ministry also describes preparations to extend the Ekram platform for death and burial procedures nationwide. These remain proposed provisions and administrative preparations: the sources reviewed establish neither adoption of the bill nor new rights already in force.
