Youth: Abkari announces regional exams and talks on reintegration

Salah-Eddine Abkari told the House of Councillors on 3 November 2026 that public recruitment exams would be held regionally under certain conditions. He also reported talks with the Justice Ministry on reintegrating young people after prison sentences.

According to Le360’s account of his remarks, exams can be decentralized when candidate numbers and local facilities allow, limiting journeys to Rabat. The announcement gives no timetable covering all recruitment exams.

On reintegration, the minister discusses better support and avenues involving volunteering and civic participation, also reported by PAM. No specific scheme or implementation timetable is announced. The talks therefore constitute neither an adopted criminal-record reform nor changes to employment eligibility already in force.
