Where things stand

As of 26 October 2026, Elevra and Atlantic announce the transfer of Elevra's rights to Huayou. The separate Atlantic takeover and the start of production are not established.

Ghana: Huayou takes over Elevra's rights in Ewoyaa lithium project

Elevra Lithium announced on 26 October 2026 that it had completed the sale of its rights in Ghana's Ewoyaa project to Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt. The seller says it received US$71 million before fees and taxes following Ghanaian approvals.

The transaction includes spodumene concentrate offtake rights and removes Elevra's funding obligations. Atlantic Lithium says Huayou takes over rights to a 22.5% interest in the Ghana portfolio and is to fund a remaining US$66 million tranche to increase that interest to 50%.

This transfer is separate from Huayou's proposed takeover of Atlantic Lithium, which is not presented as completed. It also does not mark the start of production at Ewoyaa: development funding and construction remain steps to monitor.
