Eight committee members supported a quarter-point rise; Catherine Mann preferred a half-point increase to 4.25%.

The Bank forecasts average inflation of 4.8% in the second quarter of 2027. That projection depends in particular on energy prices and the course of the Middle East conflict. The next decision is scheduled for 17 December.
