Claude launches a personal finance beta linked to bank accounts

Anthropic announced Personal Finance in Claude on 5 November 2026, rolling out in beta in the US for Pro, Max and Ultra subscribers. Users can link bank and card accounts through Plaid to ask about balances and spending.

Access is read-only: Claude cannot transfer or invest money. Users choose accounts and authenticate with their bank through Plaid; Claude does not see their bank password. The tool can categorize spending, flag fees and build tracking dashboards.

Anthropic says conversations inside this hub are not used to train its models. That rule covers the Personal Finance hub; other conversations follow their usual settings. The company says mistakes remain possible and recommends checking important figures with the bank. The rollout is gradual.
