Saudi official figures put healthcare coverage at 97% of population centres

Health services cover 97% of Saudi population centres, according to figures carried by the official Saudi Press Agency on 5 November 2026. This measures locations covered, rather than the share of people with insurance.

The update describes 20 health clusters, about 2,000 primary care centres and 44,000 hospital beds. It also credits the Sehhaty platform with more than 30 million appointments and six million instant consultations.

These are reported cumulative volumes; the articles reviewed do not specify every reference period. They cannot alone establish inequalities in access or clinical outcomes. The Arabic and English accounts draw on the same official update.
