UKRI says partners will add £37.5 million in cash and in-kind support. Projects cover brain and heart health, respiratory infections and eye analysis, including artificial intelligence tools.

On 6 November, the University of Exeter said BRAINIAC would involve 11 universities and ten NHS sites over six years. The first clinics are expected in 2029. The programme will develop and test tools; these announcements establish no new clinical effectiveness.
