Kyrgyzstan’s foreign ministry describes discussions about vulnerable populations and the implications of conditions in Afghanistan for Central Asian stability. Kazakhstan was represented by ambassador-at-large Yerzhan Kistafin.

Astana called for expanded trade, transport connections and humanitarian cooperation. Its statement does not specify a new quantified investment or a timetable for building a corridor. The meeting marks another stage of consultation; it does not establish that the projects discussed have been implemented.
