John Akomfrah’s Arcadia arrives at London’s Natural History Museum
London’s Natural History Museum hosts John Akomfrah’s film installation Arcadia from 6 November 2026, with free access in the Jerwood Gallery, according to the museum’s programme.
Across five screens, the film connects landscapes, human movement, trade and disease to examine environmental and social transformations associated with intercontinental exchange since the fifteenth century. Its soundtrack includes nature sounds, opera and poetry.
This is its London presentation, following a display in Plymouth in 2023. The museum announces a continuous loop lasting just under an hour, running until May 2027.
No separate exhibition ticket is required. However, the institution recommends booking free general admission to guarantee museum entry.
