ECA opens talks in Rabat on North African economic resilience

The 41st meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee of Senior Officials and Experts for North Africa opened in Rabat on 3 November 2026, Le Matin reports. ECA’s North Africa office is organising the meeting through 5 November.

Discussions address economies’ ability to withstand simultaneous shocks and diversify financing. The programme includes reviewing the office’s activities and priorities for the following year.

Private-sector and civil-society representatives are participating alongside officials and experts, according to the meeting presentation. Proposals under discussion should not be equated with policies already adopted; the reviewed sources do not establish a final text.
