UCB announces Cradle partnership for AI antibody design

UCB announced a collaboration with Cradle on 4 November 2026 to integrate its artificial intelligence platform into selected antibody research projects. The agreement covers candidate discovery and optimisation before clinical trials.

According to the Belgian drugmaker, experiments are to feed programme-specific models to progressively improve the selected molecules. The announcement concerns a research method and development objectives; it does not present a newly validated treatment or a demonstrated patient benefit.

Briefs, reporting executives’ statements to Bloomberg, describes potential expansion of the partnership after evaluation. No financial amount is disclosed there. The collaboration’s actual effectiveness remains to be established through results.
