Houthis claim strike on Ras Tanura, without Saudi confirmation

Yemen’s Houthis said on 27 October 2026 that they targeted Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura refinery with a ballistic missile. Reuters reported the claim while noting that Saudi authorities had not confirmed the attack.

Spokesman Yahya Saree says the missile caused a fire. That assertion remains attributed to the movement and establishes neither damage nor an operational interruption.

Reuters separately cites Bloomberg, which reported, citing a person familiar with the matter, that a fire near the oil terminal had been contained. That account alone does not confirm the target struck or the cause of the fire. The reviewed evidence does not establish consequences for refining or exports.
