In Moscow, Ruto calls for respect for every state's territorial integrity

William Ruto urged the Russia–Africa summit in Moscow on 29 October 2026 to apply sovereignty, territorial integrity and peaceful settlement of disputes to every country, according to Kenyan reporting.

The Kenyan president advocated international relations based on sovereign equality and mutual respect, rejecting great-power spheres of influence.

He also called for United Nations Security Council reform to reflect Africa's weight. On economic cooperation, he sought Russian investment in agriculture, education, health and technology.

The remarks set out Nairobi's position and requests; they do not constitute financing agreements or projects already implemented.
