Bayern announce Saibari surgery for torn ankle ligament

Bayern Munich announced on 1 November 2026 that Ismael Saibari had successful surgery after tearing the syndesmosis ligament in his right ankle. The club did not specify how long he would be out.

The statement provides a diagnosis after his withdrawal against Dortmund in the 2-2 draw on 31 October. The Morocco international left the pitch in the 29th minute after colliding with goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, according to the Bundesliga and Sky.

The diagnosis and reported surgical outcome come from the club. Match reporting corroborates his injury-enforced departure without providing an independent medical assessment or a return timetable.
