TotalEnergies signs agreements for 30% of two Malaysian gas fields

France’s TotalEnergies announced agreements on 2 November 2026 to acquire a 30% operated interest in the Lang Lebah and B14 fields offshore Sarawak. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval.

After completion, PTTEP and KUFPEC would each hold 25%, with PETRONAS Carigali holding 20%. These shares describe the planned structure, not a completed transaction.

The company plans an integrated development supplying Malaysia LNG. It estimates combined resources at over 6.5 trillion cubic feet and targets a plateau of about 10 billion cubic metres annually. These volumes are resource estimates and industrial targets, not achieved production.
