The monthly total was below the 78 aircraft delivered in October 2025. To reach its target of around 870 aircraft for the whole of 2026, the European manufacturer still needs to deliver 249 in November and December, according to the calculation reported by Reuters.

October gross orders covered 202 aircraft. The official bulletin distinguishes new orders from deliveries, which count aircraft actually handed over to customers.

The annual figure remains a target: publishing the end-October total does not guarantee it will be reached. dpa-AFX highlights the delivery effort still required in the final two months.

Quarterly adjusted operating profit declined 9% to €1.768 billion. Net profit nevertheless rose 20% to €1.344 billion. The group delivered 196 commercial aircraft during the period, compared with 201 a year earlier.

Airbus still targets around 870 deliveries for the year. With 547 aircraft handed over by the end of September, around 323 remain to be delivered in the final quarter. This remains a company forecast, whose achievement depends on the pace of customer handovers.
