According to meeting reports, the restructuring fund has initial capital of EGP1 billion, with proposed stakes of EGP30–50 million per factory. Reviewing an application does not mean that financing has been granted.

The solar programme targets 1,000 megawatts in its first phase. The minister also announced an initial offering of about 100 land plots in 18 governorates the following week under “Productive Village”. These figures describe announced schemes and targets; installed capacity, land allocations and factory restarts remain to be documented.

Affected applications must include stamped drawings and an official letter confirming approval. The authority says it aims to prevent duplicate reviews and accelerate building permits.

Files received before November 1 are to remain under the previous rules. Faster processing is the stated objective; no measured result has yet been provided.

Officials presented multi-axis machining centres, computer-controlled lathes and milling machines, and measurement and balancing systems. These capabilities are described in Hapi and Daily News Egypt reports drawing on the visit's communication.

Discussions also covered possible cooperation with Dongfeng. The documents consulted establish neither a newly quantified contract nor a measured production increase. This is a review of capacity and potential cooperation within the domestic manufacturing policy.
