Saudi and Qatari stocks rebound while Egypt falls

Most major Gulf stock markets closed higher on 26 October 2026. Saudi Arabia’s benchmark gained about 3.4% and Qatar’s 2.8%, while Egypt’s blue-chip index fell 1.7%, according to closing figures reported by Reuters.

Dubai rose 0.3% and Abu Dhabi 0.6%. Kuwait gained around 2% and Oman 1.1%, while Bahrain slipped about 0.2%. These are rounded daily changes, rather than annual returns.

Reuters linked the rebound to hopes of de-escalation surrounding the Tehran talks and buying after recent declines. That interpretation of market drivers does not establish that a diplomatic settlement was reached. Egypt’s contrasting performance shows the session was not uniformly positive across the region.
