Reports point to Ounahi surgery and absence until spring 2027

French and Greek reports dated 28 October 2026 say Azzedine Ounahi is due to undergo surgery on 29 October following his thigh injury at Panathinaikos. A return in spring 2027 is being considered, without a definitive date.

According to these articles, a second MRI showed a complete rupture of the right biceps femoris tendon. This revises initial estimates of a two-to-three-month absence.

The Moroccan international was injured against Asteras Tripolis on 18 October. The revised projections point to the Greek league play-offs, with March mentioned as a possible target. This timetable remains attributed to press reporting and depends on rehabilitation. No club medical statement establishing a firm return date was obtained.
