As of 28 October 2026, Ryanair is presenting 5.3 million winter seats and its fifth Moroccan base in Rabat. Its chief executive warns that fuel costs will put pressure on fares.

In Rabat, Ryanair outlines expansion and warns of pressure on fares

In an interview published on 28 October 2026, Eddie Wilson reaffirmed Morocco’s importance to Ryanair while predicting higher fares because of jet fuel costs. His visit to Rabat the previous day accompanied the presentation of the winter schedule.

The airline reports 5.3 million seats, up 12%, across 156 routes including 17 new services. The network covers 13 Moroccan airports and 14 countries, according to the figures presented.

Rabat is described as the airline’s fifth Moroccan base, with two additional aircraft taking its Morocco-based fleet to 16. Announced capacity represents seats offered, rather than passengers already carried. Wilson’s remarks on fares remain a forecast by the company’s chief executive.
